Mission and Vision
The strategic framework for establishing RDCs in Higher Education Institutions is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The primary goal is to create a robust research ecosystem that fosters innovative, impactful, and sustainable research outputs, contributing to India’s goal of self-reliance.
Its vision and missions are multifaceted, such as: developing a strong research environment, promoting collaboration across sectors, and enhancing access to research through resource mobilization. RDC’s objectives include establishing organizational structures and formulate research policies, enable procurement, financial autonomy, and dissemination of research outcomes, creating a dedicated vehicle for promoting researchers and industry collaborations, to facilitate liaison with funding agencies and oversee project execution, to strengthen coordination among research, incubation, and IPR units, to develop digital systems for research information sharing and to organize workshops and ensure ethical research practices. The RDC aims to promote quality research contributing to national development, backed by elements like human resources, knowledge capital, governance, and funding.
